We
are hosting three summer camp sessions
in Summer 2005. These are
open to
both kids and adults. We'll have accomodations
for out-of-state vaulters with host
vaulting families. Our
2004 summer camps were a rousing success,
and we had many participants. Check
out what our 2004 campers had to say
about their experience.

Lodging for Out of
State Vaulters

vaulters is available free of charge
with host vaulting families.
What we'll be doing
We'll spend our mornings
in the indoor arena doing ballet conditioning,
gymnastics, and dance choreography to
enhance agility and coordination and
just for the sheer fun of moving. We'll
also learn and practice compulsory and
freestyle exercises on the vaulting
barrel.
After lunch, we'll move to the outdoor
vaulting arena where we'll work on horseback,
training compulsory and freestyle moves
at the walk and canter.
What campers will need
Campers will need loose
fitting pants or leggings, and vaulting/gymnastics
shoes. Shoes are available at Kicks in
Santa Fe (505-982-9272) or from Pegasus
Vaulting Supply. Please bring sunscreen,
a water bottle, and a change of clothes.
Horseback riding experience is not necessary.
If you have a special diet, please advise
us.
Our Facility
We have a lovely indoor practice space
and a large outdoor vaulting arena. Check
it out.
Santa Fe is in the
high desert at approximately 7,000 feet
above sea level. Our summer days are
warm and dry. The evenings are cool
and clear. We can see the beautiful
Sangre de Cristo mountains from our practice
areas. Safety
Safety is the byword
of vaulting. Even though advanced competitive
vaulting is a thrilling spectator sport,
it is much safer than any other horse
sport, many everyday activities, and
safer than gymnastics. Please see our
safety
information.
